The Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC) at Mahaguru Institute of Technology (MIT) is a dynamic platform created to inspire, support, and nurture young innovators and entrepreneurs. Supported by the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), the cell encourages students to convert creative ideas into impactful solutions, prototypes, and future start-ups.

Our Mission

  • To inspire students to identify real-world problems and develop innovative solutions.

  • To promote hands-on learning through hackathons, skill-development sessions, and prototype development.

What We Do

  • Workshops & Bootcamps: Training on design thinking, prototyping, startup strategies, and innovation tools.
  • Hackathons & Idea Challenges: Events such as Haxite encourage students to build real solutions under expert guidance.
  • Industry Visits: Exposure to real-time industrial environments to understand technology and innovation trends.
  • Mentoring & Support: Guidance from faculty mentors, industry experts, and alumni entrepreneurs.
  • Startup Development: Helping student teams in idea validation, product building, and connecting with incubation programs.
