Prof. C S Karunakaran is a leading Indian professional leader. He is an academician, entrepreneur coach and techno-commercial activist. He is the Founding Secretary of IAAA Association and Foundation. He is India’s leading UAV activist With 13 years of experience in Aircraft Maintenance, UAV, teaching, research and product development he heads both academics and administration of Mahaguru Institute of Technology. His activities are cherished and appreciated by many technical leaders including Dr A P J Abdul Kalam. He is the Asia Book of Records awardee for Inventing “Asia’s First Flying Bike” in 2019. He headed project Drishyam 4.0 which was the Drone Crowd Monitoring of Chennai City for supporting Chennai city Police during COVID 19 first wave lock down in April 2020. He has received more than 40 national and international awards and recognitions, have delivered 150+ lectures across the globe. He is an “Elite Academician” awardee as one among the top 200 academicians of India during 2019 by AICTE, DST, TI and IIM. He has represented India in United Nation’s SGAC 4th African Workshop in February 2021. In 2016 he spear headed SAEINDIA UAV contest named “Aero Design” to be launched in India after being successfully conducted in USA for 36 years since 1980. He plays significant roles in professional bodies such as SAEINDIA, IAAA,IEI, AeSI, ISSE etc. He is the leading supporter of SDSC, SHAR, ISRO outreach activity for Tamil Nadu.
