About the Anti-Narcotic Cell

The Anti-Narcotic Cell at Mahaguru Institute of Technology is committed to creating a drug-free campus and fostering a healthy, safe, and supportive environment for all students and staff. The cell works proactively to prevent the use, possession, and distribution of narcotic substances within the campus and its surroundings.

Through awareness campaigns, counseling, and strict enforcement of anti-drug policies, the cell aims to educate students about the dangers of substance abuse and empower them to make informed, positive choices. We believe that a drug-free campus is essential for academic excellence, personal growth, and the well-being of our community.

Our Mission

To prevent and eradicate the menace of drug abuse among students by promoting awareness, providing support, and enforcing a zero-tolerance policy towards narcotics on campus.

Roles & Responsibilities

The Anti-Narcotic Cell undertakes the following key responsibilities:

  • Conducting regular awareness programs, seminars, and workshops on the ill effects of drug abuse
  • Monitoring the campus to prevent the use and distribution of narcotic substances
  • Providing counseling and support to students in need
  • Collaborating with local authorities and law enforcement agencies
  • Ensuring strict adherence to anti-drug policies and regulations
  • Encouraging students to report suspicious activities confidentially
  • Organizing anti-drug pledge campaigns and rallies
  • Disseminating educational materials and resources on substance abuse prevention
  • Maintaining records of awareness activities and interventions
  • Promoting a healthy, drug-free lifestyle among students and staff
  • Supporting rehabilitation and reintegration of affected individuals
  • Fostering peer leadership and student participation in anti-drug initiatives
