About the ICC
Mahaguru Institute of Technology has constituted the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) in pursuance of guidelines issued by the Supreme Court, UGC, and as per the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act, 2013.
The Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell (Internal Complaints Committee) is reconstituted to provide for the effective enforcement of the basic human rights of gender equality and guarantee against sexual harassment and abuse. The committee ensures a conducive atmosphere in the campus for all staff members, employees, and students, working diligently for the prevention, prohibition, and redressal of sexual harassment of girl students and women faculty members.
Objectives of the Committee
Build Self-Esteem
To build self-esteem and dignity among girl students and women faculty members across the campus.
Counseling & Aid
To offer services such as professional counseling and legal aid in the case of atrocities against women.
Time-Bound Redressal
To deal with cases of sexual harassment in a time-bound manner, aiming at ensuring support services to the victimized, and termination of the harassment.
Gender Sensitization
To undertake all necessary and reasonable steps, including the constitution of appropriate committees, for purposes of gender sensitization and conducting enquiries.
Rights Awareness
To create widespread awareness regarding women's rights and available legal provisions among all members of the institution.
Prohibit Harassment
To actively avoid, prevent, and strictly prohibit any form of sexual harassment at the workplace and educational environment.
Health & Development
To arrange constructive programs regarding health awareness, personal safety, and personality development.
