About the Department

Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a field of engineering that deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. Electrical engineers work on diverse range of technologies such as the design of house hold appliances, lighting and wiring buildings, telecommunication systems, electrical power stations and satellite communications.

The undergraduate programme aims to inculcate the spirit of inquiry, develop the power of thinking, create analytical and experimental abilities, and generates interest in post graduate courses. The syllabus includes subjects like Application of Power Electronics to Power Systems, Digital Electronics and Logic, Microprocessors & Applications, Object Design, Control Systems etc. The skills developed are diverse which include basic circuit theory, designing and problem solving which prepare the students to meet the ever increasing challenges of the industry.
