The Computer Science and Engineering course is aimed at providing knowledge in both theoretical and practical aspects of Computer Science. The curriculum places adequate emphasis on the specialization in a wide range of hardware and software subjects. The hardware subjects include Computer Network Design, Computer Architecture, Data Communication etc. The software subjects include Object Oriented Programming, Database Management Systems, Algorithm analysis and Design and others.
The undergraduate programme is aimed to inculcate a spirit of inquiry, develop the power of thinking, create analytical and experimental abilities, and generate interest in post graduate courses. In order to bridge the gap between knowledge and its application, students are required to undertake seminars on cutting edge technological advances, mini projects and a main project , which help to put them through an industry like situation. Thus the students are well equipped to face the ever increasing challenges of the IT industry and encourage them to research topics far removed from mainstream curriculum.
