Research Facilities and Labs
- Interdisciplinary Research Labs: MIT houses three dedicated interdisciplinary research labs designed to promote collaborative research across departments. These labs facilitate cross-functional projects and the blending of knowledge across fields, leading to impactful innovations and cutting-edge solutions.
- Mini Fabrication Lab: Our Mini Fabrication Lab provides a space for prototype development and hands-on experimentation, supporting both student and faculty research. Equipped with advanced tools and technology, this lab enables the practical application of theoretical research, allowing our community to bring their ideas to life.
Research Initiatives and Funding
- Student-Funded Research: For the academic year 2023-2024, MIT received four prestigious funding awards from the Centre of Engineering Research and Development (CERD) for B.Tech projects. These funds not only recognize the quality of our student research but also empower students to work on innovative projects that contribute to their professional growth and learning experience.
- Faculty Research Sponsorships: Many of our faculty members receive sponsorships and funding from prominent agencies, demonstrating MIT’s commitment to supporting research that meets high standards of excellence. - Funding and Grants: Our institution provides guidance and support for students and faculty in securing external funding, with dedicated resources to aid in grant writing and proposal development.
- Access to Databases and Tools: To ensure that all research is thorough and well-supported, MIT offers access to research databases (N-list, INFLIBNET, Delnet), software for data analysis (such as SPSS and R), and plagiarism detection tools (like Turnitin).
- Workshops and Training:Regular workshops and training sessions on research methodologies, academic writing, and publishing are conducted to equip our community with the skills needed to produce high-quality research outputs.
